Ramblings…

I recently got back in contact with a good friend of mine from high school. We talked that first night for about 3 hours(Hi Stephen). We talked about many things that night… things we did way back when…what ’s going on in our lives right now…etc. He’s in the Army & stationed in VA. He’s been in Iraq twice. He has my total respect. I was glad to call him a friend then and even prouder to do it now. We were IMing back & forth Thursday night when I was KAN and he was like you’re not old enough to knit…LOL…so I explained to him that people of all ages knit not just old ladies….LOL When I got home he asked if I had a good time & I of course said yes, it’s always fun with that wild crazy group. He just laughed. So here’s the pictures to prove how wild & crazy we are Stephen. These ladies are the best people you will ever want to meet. They are my rocks!!

15 years–Class of 93

sc00949998.jpgsc00948aa6.jpgThis year is my 15 year class reunion. I am very excited. It will be very cool to go home and see what everyone has been up to for the past 15 years. I have talked to one person from my class in those 15 years and that is only because I was pretty much adopted by her family. I call her parents mom & dad.

We were a class of 35…26 of us went all 12 years together. We were the rowdy group. All the teachers dreaded us advancing….LOL We were the spirit of the school. There is even a banner in the gym dedicated to us. Most people hated high school but I loved it MOST of the time.

We got to do some very cool things. We took an old time photo and went to Nashville for our senior trip.

Attack of the Killer Tomatoes

When I decided to use Killer Tomatoes I started growing my killer tomato in the basement…last night as I was working on the sock I heard a weird noise coming from the basement…so I went to check it out…and what did I find…my killer tomato had started to ooze in his box…and was making the awful noise

he was at his prime and ready for some food…I rushed upstairs and finished the last sock so I could get him sent off to Missouri.

So I carefully carried my killer tomato upstairs so I could feed him his socks…he started eating right away….he was still happily eating when I sealed him up & took him to the post office this morning at 9:48 am.

Another day

I lived to see another night of knitting…I’m starting to get blisters.sock.jpeg

I’m still alive…for now

3 people were killed off today….I’m glad for Kim & Liz…I drug them into this and now they are hooked…

more tomorrow

The battle has begun

We have all been knitting like mad people. One has already been killed..several others have been mailed off…one is being delivered personally tomorrow. I finish my first sock tonight and hope to get a lot done tomorrow and praying for a snow day on Tuesday…for 2 reasons…Kenny tickets & more time to knit on my sock before I get killed off.

Battle of the soxes

In six hours we will have the pattern and can start the battle to be the last one sockless. I’m very excited I have some plans for my delivery. I don’t think I will be the last one but I hope I make it a little while.
